McDonaldisation

I am in a room with no fan on and yet, i feel like i am in a freezer.

*sob*

I was suppose to have a replacement class today but missed it just to get home to sleep my fever away. I felt much better though...until now. I think my fever is back. :(

This is such an awful time to get sick larrrrrr. GRRR...I was hardly concentrating in class the entire day today because i felt like i was in Antarctica; my nose was dripping mucus like a faulty tap and i kept wishing i was tucked in bed, rolled up like a sushi roll, sleeping.

So i ended up doodling and drawing mushrooms on left corner of my notebook instead. -.-

My voice has changed too. As a result of the sore throat and flu, i now sound like i screamed for 12 hours non stop. Much like how you would sound like after a Linkin Park concert. Except, i am sick and lying in bed wishing i can be those people sitting in McDonalds eating an ice cream cone. :(

IT IS TORTURE!

Although...on a side note, i kinda like being fussed about...xD Makes me feel warm and loved. xD I think it's because i miss my mom lar.

MOMMYYYYY!!! GET HOME SOOONNNN!!!! *whines*

And now, we go for war

I just handed in the very last of assignments i have for the entire semester.

*plops on bed and snores*

Exams are coming up though. I just had some tips for one of my subjects. Which was more like a way of saying:

JUST READ THE DAMN BOOK

-.-'

Regardless, it is time to bury my head in the books and burn midnight oils. And oh, it is time for more coffee breaks too. Keke!

On a random note, here is what i learnt from my trip to the Old Folks Home: PIG LONG POWDER.

xDDDDDDDDD

He was one cute old man. xD

DA INTERNET CONNECTION IS BACKKKKK!!!

GRRR! FINALLLLLLYYYYYYY!!

I would have loved to write a long post ranting about how terrible and horribly inconvenient it was to not have internet connection...but...i won't.

Why waste time and words on something that has already been fixed? xD

Besides, i actually half preferred to have gone on throughout the week without the internet...i was actually able to concentrate and stay calm and cool about doing assignments. oO

Anyway, on another note altogether, Tze Yuen joined me in class today and proved that me sleeping in OCD lecture HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME AT ALLL!!! xDDD HA! IT EZZ ZEE LECTURER!!!!!

XP

Then again...it could be because i slept late the night before....because i had a looooong nap at level 5 today...LOL!!!!!!! *snort*
I NEED MORE SSLEEEPPP!!

My Cousin's Wedding (Part 2)

I just realised that there are wayyy too many videos to share!! AND I HAVEN'T A CLUE HOW TO SHARE THEM!!! Technical issue still not resolved. :( Anyhow, here are some of the few pictures that were taken from the morning of the wedding:

A picture with the bride in her beautiful wedding gown :D

This was breakfast AND lunch...-.-

The wedding car! :D
He (the groom) sure did arrive in style! xD
How?

They honked their way in. I did not get to witness the groom's side coming in from my elder cousin sis's wedding but golly! This is the first time that i experienced seeing hearing the groom's arrival!

There i was, enjoying my breakfast when i felt a chill in my spine upon hearing the honking of cars from a distance. Don't ask me why i felt that but it was creepy...somehow. *shudder*

Anyway, at the beginning, i had no clue as to who those buggers were until my elder cousin sis mumbled:" They're here." As spooky as that statement was, "they" had better meant the groom and his best men!

Sure enough, they kept honking (in unison) until they arrived at the door step and my elder cousin sis took charge and got the "sistahood" to shut the main door. Weird to those who do not understand the custom but i found it rather funny. Haha!

Briefly, the sistas are suppose to "keep" the bride from the groom until the groom can come up with a good amount of dowry or "door gift" to get into the house. BUT that is not it! They have to first go through a series of "obstacles" before finally opening the door to the room where the bride is and claim her. :D The obstacles are always fun to watch especially if you have sistas with a whacky sense of humour, wit and creativity!

My cousin bro's gf told me that her neighbour had her groom and his men walk around with their underwear outside of their pants asking for signatures of goodwill from the people around the neighbourhood!! THE HORROR! hahahhaha!

Everyone waiting for the right time to begin the groom's quest to get into the house to "steal" his bride!

This was my reaction after seeing the best men.
Evidently, i was not impressed. HAHAHAHA!

Yet again, my sis had recorded all the obstacles and what not so sadly, i can't share them here. :(

The Bride and Groom!!! :D

The newlyweds with the "sistahood"

And the remaining morning was the whole "cham char" time whilst for me it was a shake of a hand to wish them well since i am younger than she is. :D

After she left for her husband's place, we adjourned back home to rest and get ready for dinner. Welll, not EVERYONE rested. Hahaha! Instead of heading home, i followed my aunt and cousins to my uncle's place and watched Night At the Museum 2!

OMG! IT IS HILARIOUS!! HHahahahahahah! I LOVED IT! The monkey with the space suit was just..omgcute!!!!!! Hahaha! Jedediah and Octavius is just....LOL-material!!! Especially when Octavius ran across the garden to seek help to free Jedediah. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Here are a few quotes i snatched from IMDb! :D

KahMunRah Confronting Darth Vader:

Kah Mun Rah: Is that you breathing? Because I can't hear myself think! There's too much going on here; you're asthmatic, you're a robot. And why the cape? Are we going to the opera? I don't think so.
  -----------------------------------------------
Easter Island Head: Did any of you Dum-Dums bring me Gum Gum?
------------------------------------------------

Larry Daley: You know how you were telling me that the key to happiness was something but then the sun came up? I think I figured it out. It's doing what you love.

Teddy Roosevelt: I was going to say diet and exercise, but the love thing is good.
----------------------------------------------------

Tuskegee Airman #1: [In announcing voice] The Tuskegee Airmen are headed down the runway!

Tuskegee Airman #2: Would you stop narrating everything we do? Just live in the moment!

Tuskegee Airman #1: [In announcing voice] The Tuskegee Airmen are living in the moment!
---------------------------------------------------------

The Thinker: I'm thinkin'...
----------------------------------------------------------

Albert Einstein: [to Dexter and Able who are attacking Al Capone] You slap, you kick, you slap, you kick, you slap, you kick, team work, wonderbar.
  -----------------------------------------------------------
Brandon: It's pronounced Brundon.
-------------------------------------------------------------

General George Armstrong Custer: Any questions

[Sacajawea raises her hand]

General George Armstrong Custer: [Mumbles her name]

Sacajawea: That is not my name.

General George Armstrong Custer: Sacajamea?

Sacajawea: No.

General George Armstrong Custer: Sac, Sack-in-a-box?

Sacajawea: No.

General George Armstrong Custer: Cinco De Mayo. Mission Accomplished
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I rate the movie a twenty out of ten!!! :D

If you get the chance to watch it, OMG GOOOO WATCH!!!

Another feel-good-laughter movie is Madagascar 2. LOL! King Julian..what can i say?

My Cousin's Wedding (Part 1)

I have tonnes of pictures and videos to share of my cousin's wedding! The pictures from the morning are in my sister's thumbdrive so i'll snatch it from her later...but here are the pictures i currently have from the dinner!

This is my nephew!! He calls me ah yi..-.- (it just makes me feel a tad older than i am)

Yeah...he was holding on to the phone for the entire night - trying to act like an important future businessman, while taking occasional pictures of his "ah yi-s" LOL!

I do not know the traditional custom but this is the first time i see the "dai kum jie" (DKJ) walking in front of the bride and groom, waving like she was on some red carpet event! Tsk tsk...trying to steal spotlight lar...obviously. *shakes head*

Ahh...the starter...the sushi lookalike thingy is VERY NICE! :D Sadly, i was quite caught up with my nephew that i hardly had the time to take pictures of the food. Nothing too extravagent la. So, none of you missed out on anything. Except...when it was time for the karaoke session...

Entertainment for the night = FAILED

ZOMG! I nearly choked on my food when i heard the DKJ started to sing.

WAYYYYY OFF TUNE, WAYYYYY OFF TIMING, WAYYY OFF SONG CHOICE, WAYYYYY TOOOO LOUD ON VOLUME OF SPEAKERS - making her sound as if she was screaming into everyone's ears, and the list can go on...so, let's just say she enjoyed herself very much that night and left everyone else to suffer in agony. *groan*

But that is not all! I (and i speak for everyone else) had initially thought that after this song, she would leave us to eat peacefully whilst allowing some other poor fellow to take over the stage. So eager were we to get her off stage that everyone clapped enthusiastically (and pitily) and prayed she would get her cue to get off the stage.

BUT ZOMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Probably gloating from the "hyped" response to her singing, she must've thought she was some superstar and went on singing another 3 more songs!!!!

I lost my appetite for the remaining night.

But i felt that the best expression that summed up everyone's reaction towards her singing was a face my elder cousin sis made when DKJ was singing:

HAHAHA! Evidently, she was veryyyy upset. LOL!!!

Karaoke sessions are also a time when people who are a little emotional would come up on stage to express their feelings much like this dude:

ZOMG...you should have seen the way his face contorted when he sang the chorus of Beyond's 海闊天空. IT WAS HILARIOUS! I couldn't stop laughing at how he was singing with so much of passion and emotion, AT A WEDDING! OMG. But i guess he enjoyed himself too. xD

I nearly choked, again, on my drink this time, when my dad and uncle turned the table on me and suggested i go sing. LOL! I shoke my head violently at their suggestion and i don't know what gave them the idea that my shaking the head to indicate NO could mean shy and practically INSISTED i go sing.

I was prepared to shovel a hole at the restaurant and dig my head in.

I had to repeatedly say a firm but polite NO. Which was not an easy task when these two were already a little high on alcohol. -.-

Note to self: NEVER LAUGH AT PEOPLE SINGING IN FRONT OF DAD AND UNCLE!

Anyway, back to the wedding:

Haha! Clearly, he is enjoying his food! :D

The champagne pouring session - the glasses were not aligned properly so only the first 4 tiers were filled with champagne. HAHA!

I have the Yum Sing session recorded on video but i have no clue how to put it in here...so...unless someone could be kind enough to assist me on this technical issue?

And so, what is a wedding dinner without a couple of good ol' pictures of ourselves?

LOL! She caught me at the wrong time! REALLY!

Wakaka!

A picture with the bride in her second dress! :D

As i have mentioned, not alot of pictures were taken of the dinner so, this marks the end of part 1! :D I will try to get the part 2 pieced together soon. We'll see. :)

To my cousin sis, I wish you all the best for your future and may God bless the two of you with heaps of happiness, health, wealth and comfort! :) Thank you for inviting us to your wedding and i hope that some time soon, when Shin gets back, we'll get a get together session of gossips till the wee hours of the morning! :D *hugs*

Note: Photos are taken courtesy of my sis. :D
