Caught in the middle of it all...

I hate hate hate being caught in the middle of an ongoing argument or when someone is getting their butts grilled. I somehow imagine myself in the person's shoes and everything in me just shrivel and i long to just dig a hole and bury myself in it.

But anyway, moving on to happier notes, i finally finally went out with my favourite group of girlfriends - Dadah, Yuts and Alena!! :D

I told my dad that i would be out for lunch and would be back for work right after. But what i had not planned on was to get back to work at 7:30pm to a closed dark office!! xD

Whoops! xD

Before you start scolding me, i must say that i had such a wonderful time!! :D I laughed till my sides ached and enjoyed "shopping" (since we didn't buy anything)! I wished we could have hopped on the LRT and zoom our way to KLCC (our favourite hang out area..somehow...LOL!) but work kinda prevented me on that.. :(

And DADAH GOT HER NOSE PIERCED!! oO

Pictures will be loaded up on Facebook soon!! HAHHA! BUT IT LOOKED REALLY GOOD! I kinda wish i got a reason or excuse to pierce mine too. HAhahahaha! But what i can't get my head around on is how people with pierced nose, manage to dig their nose...

*shudder* gross thought. But i will make it a point to ask Dadah after 2 weeks..hehehehe!

Anyway, on a side note, my hands are officially turned to ice. I AM SO COLD! And i think i am on the verge of getting sick...uh oh....

Happy Birthday, Mr Phua Chu Ian!!!!

Note: this is a backdated post which will explain how everything is in past-tense (if my english is grammatically correct). :D

I have wished you a dozen times through the phone (on both call and sms), on the card, in person, through Facebook and now, through my blog. :D So,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHU IAN DEAR! :D

Here is my account of how everything went:
About a few days before his birthday, we were chatting on the phone when he mentioned to me about how no one was doing anything for him for his birthday.

In actual fact, i had a plan formed in my head exactly 3 weeks before his birthday. But due to unforeseen circumstances, it didn't quite work out. So anyway, it's never too late to plan right? xD Right after the phone conversation, i set my mind out to do something special for him. I roped in a couple of good friends to spread the word to the group of people he spends the most time with and managed to get about a comfortable group of friends to celebrate his birthday. :) It was supposed to be a surprise so i made everyone promise not to tell him. Which worked out well. :D

Until i spoilt it myself. HAHHAHAHHAHA! Will elaborate as i go on..xD

I woke up pretty early on that day and went over to his house to pass him the presents and spend the day with him. :)

I went over at about close to 10 in the morning and was expecting him to be awake by then but...NOOOOOOO. The lazy bum birthday boy was still ASLEEP! Hahahahahha! His father told me to wake him up so up i went to give his bum a good birthday morning whack. :D After he got up, i got so excited to see his reaction at the gifts i bought that i made him open up all his presents before he even got a chance to wash up!! Hahahahaha!

And he loves!! *BEAMS* :DD

So, the plan for the day was to bake a cake together then have lunch ("just the two of us") then back again to get ready for dinner with the family. Yes. We baked his birthday cake together. HEHEHEHE!

Sorry lar. I don't really bake! Besides, i wanna see how he does it anyway. :D We took about 2-3 hours doing it? LOL! It was fun though!! I wanted to bake something other than cheese cake since he bakes it for almost everyone's birthday. Haha! But he wanted to have it anyway since he was "lazy" to try something else. tsk tsk.

All the while when we/he was baking, i made the arrangements with Kit Yee and Vannessa to meet at Italliannies at The Curve at around 2:30pm along with the gang of friends. Since it is supposed to be a surprise, i told Chu Ian that we will be having lunch outside and at the same time, go to the IT store to check out the earphones that he had been wanting to get for a long while. But of course, lunch will be the surprise with his friends there waiting for him and earphone shopping was just the excuse. HEHE!

All went well except that the cake (we made two: one for his family and one for mine) took much longer than i hoped it would! And i was so worried that everyone will be waiting for us! Additionally, his mom suddenly mentions to us to eat lunch at home before going out and then asked him: "How come none of ur friends are planning anything for you eh?? Are you going out with your friends or is it just the two of u?" I looked over at Chu Ian and for some reason, he had that smile on his face that seemed to say that he knew something but at that time, i just passed it off as nothing much and quickly answered that it will be just us. xD

After lunch, i was already fidgeting because by then, it was about 2:30pm. WE WERE LATE! OMG! And he is still playing Mafia Wars, Mouse Trap and goodness else what! And i didn't want to come across as too eager to go out that i would blow the cover! But i needn't worry because after he decided that the cake was done, Mafia Wars were safe, bath was finally taken, i quickly sent a text msg to Kit Yee to warn her we were on our way.

Only i didn't send it to her.

ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

What was funny was that i didn't even realise that i sent the message wrongly. Right after i sent the message, i heard Chu Ian's message tone but thought that it was just another friend wishing him. Until he showed to me what was the message content...

WHOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG BOO BOOO!!!!! *slaps forehead and kicks stone*

I didn't quite know whether to laugh or cry at that moment. But i did know that i wanted to scream, kick and punch something. OMGGGGG....*knocks head*

Chu Ian, from then on until we got in the car, kept having this controlled smile on his face as he saw my facial expression changed from shock to disbelief to disappointment to frustration, anger, sadness and laughter all that the same time.

I tried in vain to cover up the big boo boo i made but knew that Chu Ian was smarter than that. :( LOL! But after laughing at my attempt to surprise him, he later told me that he actually knew about this plan since yesterday!!! oO! Apparently, he ter-saw a message that Kit Yee received on her handphone from Wing Lam while he was playing games on her phone!! -.-"

But he played me a fool THE ENTIRE DAY!!! There i was thinking i was sooo brilliant with my plan and control to be able to be careful to not accidentally message him (until the end lar). AND HE KNEW!!! ARGH!!

Despite that though, he was very pleased with the thought to surprise him. :) That was my consolation. LOL! But really, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who attended the party!! He was very very happy!! :D

Later that night, we got ready for dinner with his family at an Italian restaurant in Tropicana. Turned out pretty well!! I was stuffed at the end of it though. LOL! His family was really nice and i got along with his cousin sis quite ok too! :D We took out the cake and did the usual birthday ritual of singing and cutting the cake and of course, eating it!! :DD I have a couple of pics that i will upload when i get home. :D So wait up for that. :)

I really thoroughly enjoyed myself that day and dear ar...i hope you did too!! :)

May you continue to have good health (DRINK MORE WATER ARR), happiness and lots lots and lots of love!! :P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY DEAREST!!!!!!

*hugs and kisses* :)

A post filled with pictures...

I have basically decided that i will just dump all the pictures in my rare moment of motivation and good will in sharing. :)

--------------------------------------

I recently visited this place called Tutti Frutti in Sunway Pyramid with my sibling on our sibling day out. Which was basically the very day that i was influenced to buy the magical belt that apparently made every outfit look twice better and overspent on clothes. SO, TF sells Frozen Yogurts. And before you go: "uurggg....yucks...i hate yogurt..." WAIT. Because after consuming this yummy goodness, it will change your mind about yogurt and ice-cream all at the same time. :D

Being first time consumers, the waitress walked us through the process of how things worked in TF. First, we had to choose a cup - sizes varies between small to large.

Yeah...bad quality photo..hehehe!

Next, we got to choose and mix from different flavours of frozen yogurt! There was chocolate, mango, strawberry and etc...(i can't remember all at the moment. LOL!) Now, i didn't hear the waitress saying that we could mix the flavours...but...ah well...i couldn't think what could possibly go well with Mango flavoured frozen yogurt anyway. xD
So, you basically place your cup under the machine - it's exactly the same like how you watch waitresses in McD filling up ice-cream for you, and it is up to you to decide on the amount that you want. A little advice though, whilst it may be fun to watch the frozen yogurt twirl around and get filled to the brim of the cup, make sure you are aware of the amount because of two main reasons: you better be able to finish all of it and how much you pay is based on how much it weighs.

And so, after that, you get to put in as many different toppings as you wish. Be it: gummy bears, chocolate/strawberry syrup, small cubes of fruits, buscuit crumbs, chocolate/rainbow rice toppings, nata de coco, etc. There are wayyy too many to choose from!

Then after you are done, you have to place it on a weighing machine and based on the weight, they will charge you accordingly. :D Remember what i said about being careful about the amount? That is because all those frozen yogurt + toppings + cup = xxxweight x RM0.53 can cost you a bomb when it is all totalled up. My sibling and mine in total was close to RM40. xD And here is basically what we ordered:

A little disgusting looking...LOL! But it was a combo of strawberry frozen yogurt (i think) + dragon fruit + gummy bears + strawberry syrup + nata de coco + kiwi + chocolate rice topping = my sis's cup = heaviest = most expensive

After looking at hers, mine is very pale in comparison...but that is what happens when you keep thinking of how much it may cost and the lack of experimental excitement.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAH! Mango frozen yogurt + mango fruit = MINE! HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!!

Oh my...i didn't realise how laughable the comparison is!! xDDDD It's really obvious i love mango, isn't it? And how boring i can be!! Hahahahahhaa!! But MINE WAS JUST AS TASTY! Humpf! xD

*burp*

It took us awhile to actually finish it all and by the time we were done, we were freezing, full and ready to continue shopping on the pretense of "walking keeps us warm". HEHEHE!

I mentioned that this will change your perception on yogurt and ice-cream is because this frozen yogurt has nutritional values and it tastes exactly like ice-cream, if not smoother and yummier. xD So, really, give Tutti Frutti a benefit of doubt and GO TRYYYYY!!! IT's WORTH IT! :D

p.s: At Pyramid, it is located on the same floor as Giant and it is right next to the electrical shop that showcases TVs on the outside..xD

-----------------------------------------

I also visited Snowflakes recently. The very one opposite Asia Cafe.

I heard from friends who have tried and was very curious as to what was so nice about that place that got everyone so hyped up and addicted. I actually have a friend that would go there every day. So yeah...i was VERY curious.

After trying though, i thought it was a little over-rated. All you ate was half-shaved ice. It wasn't finely shaved like what you have in ice kacang but it was like how it would be when the ice shaver machine were to break down.

So really, i do not know whyy people like it there so much that people were actually queuing up for place to eat. Maybe i tried something that wasn't the best of it but from what i tried from other friends on different flavours, it was still bad.

Very disappointing actually. But the only thing that was nice that i liked was their system of self-service. xD After ordering what you wanted, they will pass to you a device that is round shaped for you to bring back to your table and wait as they prepare your order. Here is how it looks like:

Yeah...they actually call it the "Beeping UFO". LOL!

Wonder why? Here is what happens when your order is up and ready for you to collect:

Aiyah..cannot rotate wor...LOL! But yeah...IT LIGHTS UP AND VIBRATES! Cute eh? xD When he got hold of it, Chu Ian looked ready to break it apart to find out how it works. Hehehe!

But yeah, aside from the Beeping UFO, nothing was nice.
---------------------------------

On something random i did, i was waiting in the car for my sis as she went with her friend to check out prices from some hair saloon and i happen to notice this guy outside talking on his phone through his hands-free.

Guy talking on phone on hands-free seems rather normal isn't it? So i thought too!

Until i saw how he clipped his hands-free that got me bursting out loud in laughter and sneakily attempted to take a picture:

I purposesly enlarged the picture to show..can you see the shiny blue thing that is hanging on his chin? IT'S HIS HANDS-FREE!!! WAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

He actually clipped his hands-free to his SKIN! And everytime he talked, the hands-free kept dangling and moving to and fro at his chin for dear life. WAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA!

He was the highlight joke for the day for me. xD

Talk about random eh? xD
--------------------------------------------------
Just yesterday, Chu Ian and i had the whole day to ourselves and it was thoroughly interesting and educational-ish. xD

He brought me to Klang to have Bak Kut Teh! xD He always complains that the BKT around my area is no good and after a long time of boasting about the Klang version, he decided to bring me to his family's usual (and apparently the best). xDD

I am no food connoisseur so i can't really tell what was the big difference and all that. But after finding out what makes BKT tasty is the soup and the meat, i must say, now i really know why people say Klang's BKT is good! I know i sound jakun lah...but honestly, i never really gave much thought into what makes a certain dish truly tasty except that i like how it generally taste. xD

From just the smell, you can tell that the soup is really solidly BKT herbs...very traditional-like as in it's not those commercial smell of BKT. The part of the pork that Chu Ian ordered was the calf so the meat was verrry tender, soft and soooooooooo goood. Chu Ian also (for once) encouraged me to try the fats and ohhhh mmmmmyyy....IT MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH! *licks lips* YUmmmmmm...really...now i know why it is SOOO GOOOD! xD

The shop that Chu Ian brought me was packed with people because it is apparently the best and it showed from the contrast of people that was waiting for table at this shop and the one that was right behind it. So much so that i felt pressured to gobble down my food when the next group of people to take our table was standing so menacingly close and kept eyeing how and what we ate or drink. Grr.

The lady even wanted to SIT RIGHT NEXT TO US TO WAIT FOR THE TABLE! *faints*

I know the guy in the group was trying to act cool and patient by attempting to stand and read papers but really...it is no better. Worst is when the ladies (two of them) kept whispering to each other whilst eyeing on us. I mean...it's so so so so disturbing!! :( Chu Ian had to repeatedly tell me to calm down and ignore them but i was sooo very troubled by their presence that i drowned the soup in seconds. Thank goodness we were about to finish by then.

But honestly, aside from the packed place, it was really good food and experience! :D I can't wait to go again!! Although next time, we go earlier ya? xD

After that, we rested awhile before trying out something new together. :) Building a wooden 3D sailing ship from the Ming dynasty, that is. Not a family. :P

Front cover (yeah..it's very dark *grumbles at phone*)

His sister bought it for him from Australia (it is made in China..hehehe) awhile ago and decided that instead of going out all the time, we could spend some time doing something different! :D Knowing how he loves building things, why not try it out too? And boy...it really was fun! xD

Instructions

The parts that you have to "use your fingers to gently push it out"

And oooppppssss!!! It was chipped!!!!! (after i used the screwdriver to take it out! WAHAHA! Trying very hard to be very engineer-like = FAILED! Hehehehe!)

Chu Ian fixing my spoilt part :P

How he uses the screwdriver and yet everything is taken out nicely, beats me xD

Looks like pretty complicated stuff eh? BUT TOTALLY FUN TO TAKE OUT! xD

The very beginning of the structure

The deck!!
Okay, from here, i know it looks as if Chu Ian is doing most of the work lar...NOT VERY TRUE! xD I did TOO! I made sure i did at least 40% of it. Hehehehehheehehehehehehhee!!

Clearer pic of the deck! :D Cute ehh?

Ooooo! So menacing and fierce! KEKE!

It has a rudder!! :D

TRAP DOORS!! :DD

SOOOOOOO CUTE RIGHT????!!! xD

It even has staircases at each side!!! SOOOO ADORABLE! xD

He was doing some touchups. hehehe!

From the top! :D

IT EVEN HAS AN ANCHOR!!! HAHAHAHA!

With half of the sails

It was soooo not easy tying the strings for the sails k! The strings kept splitting and was very frustrating to do

Look like real je. LOL!
Our patience level was running thin by the time we were done with the sails on the sides so since he had some badminton appointment soon, we decided to abandon the project for another day on the big sails. :D

Pretty cool stuff eh?? It was really really fun!! I highly recommend this sort of projects to people out there!! xD It really tests your patience level and teamwork! :D We both excelled in both, didn't we dear? xD

---------------------------------------------

At night, i went for dinner with my family at Tasty Pot at the Mentari area in Sunway. Not too bad! I whacked on just prawns and my sis got me this fish ball-like thing that seem to resemble a panda, to eat:

It's both scary and cute at the same time hor? xD Notice also the fish shaped fish paste! xD

Not scary anymore! it turned out pretty nice actually. LOL!
There was another that was in a shape of a star. xD

Well, overall, the variety is good and even the cooked food looked really yummy. Although it is slightly more pricey than others, i think it's pretty worth it! They even have roasted lamb/beef - It's not a either or but more of i am not sure which. xD But it was goooooooood! :D So, go google map it and try!! :D

K lar, i think this must be one of my longest! And one of the most random! xD Hope you faithful readers enjoy it! :)

The thrills of shopping

I simply cannot go shopping alone...nor can i ever go shopping without someone who is firm enough and thick-faced enough to help pull me away from pretty tops, accessories, dresses and everything else and to help me say a polite "no" to skilled persuasive salesgirls who love to play dress up on me.

I LOOOOOOVE shopping too much!!! *sob* I think i am beginning to see signs of a shopaholic within me..surfacing...ARGHH!!!

I actually spent RM200+ on 2 dresses and a top and a belt IN JUST ONE SHOP!!! *faints* And that is just one of them. Earlier, i spent about RM100 on 2 tops and some accessories..and then ....got food too leh...which i spent another RM50....for both my sis and me larr....so not so bad...But..but...I am spending TOOO MUCH! ANd this is just a portion of what i wanted to buy!!! I had to practically force myself to look away and feel my heart break when i left behind pretty skirts, dresses and tops...and BAGS! ARRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Despite the money flying away and burning my pockets, i actually felt this adrenaline rush as i tried on clothes after clothes and accessories after accessories! This one salesgirl at one shop was SO DARN GOOOD i ended up spending that RM200+. She really made me feel good!! Clothes after clothes she kept asking me to try....and then she brought in those belts and made the outfit twice prettier that i ended up buying the belt too!!!!

HOW LAR!!

I was so excited about my purchases that i actually had trouble sleeping that night. LOL! It is BADDDDD! I think this is what happens when you are shopping deprived. Staying cooped up at home with nothing much but house chores to do does these things to you. It is no wonder those rich housewives spend so much. I KNOW HOW YOU WOMEN FEELLLLLL!!!

Note to self: GET RICH!
