Happy Independence Day!!

A thoughtful mind, when it sees a Nation’s flag, sees not the flag only, but the Nation itself; and whatever may be its symbols, its insignia, he reads chiefly in the flag the Government, the principles, the truths, the history which belongs to the Nation that sets it forth.

Closing Ceremony of Beijing Olympics

Boy, I must say, it was spectacular!!!! As proven since the very moment they were announced to host the Olympics, China has never failed to impress us even until the very end.

Although the closing ceremony is not quite as impressive as the opening ceremony, nonetheless, it was definitely well done. I believe that China has shown and proved themselves well this Olympics and deserve every wonderful moments they have had throughout the 16 days of non stop games.

London would have to work extremely hard to come up with something that can impress the entire world just as much, if not more, than China. They did show us parts of what we can anticipate and look forward to in the London Olympic Games and i must say, they have loads to improve on. Leona Lewis sounded really weird and the short stint was far from entertaining. Perhaps, it is not something that we can compare with China as the latter have an extremely rich culture that they have managed to showcase to the world. China has millions of people helping out with the performances and they were definitely well trained and extremely synchronized. I love, and i am sure every is to, with every bit of the Beijing Olympics. (Aside from the big boo boo about the fireworks and the little girl)

I am proud of China and they have definitely showcased my personal best Olympics ever. Kudos to them and i say, keep up the wonderful job and make us all proud and truly believe that we can achieve:

Delayed..

I am well aware that i have yet to blog anything regarding the Beijing Olympics and i cannot believe that i failed to blog even the most lame entry to mark the 080808 on the blog calender. :(

Anyhow, i have not really been diligently following the Olympics schedules due to the irritating fact that my wonderful oldie TV decided to stop working and disappoint us. It played games with us too! My sis and i were enjoying the swimming competition on one of the days and we were happily laughing at how the guys looked in their swimming suits (not trunks anymore!) and then they were getting ready at the platform waiting for the indication to start. Just as the horn was blasted, the TV went PooF! BLANK SCREEN!!!!

AND WE DID NOT GET TO SEE THEM DIVING IN!!!!!! Which is the best part btw. ARgh!

It only resumed when they were already halfway swimming.

And then it died again.

And it continued that way for the rest of the few days we were watching the Olympics. It got so irritating that my dad took out my bro's miniature sized TV that looked dwarfed next to my oldie TV, and we watched Olympics that way with some of us occasionally moving closer to the TV by standing up to watch it. LOL! Pathetic right?

But! We are definitely planning on getting a new TV soon! WhooHOOO! :D

Okay then, i'll leave my other updates for another day! :D Will be back for more!

Friends

Friendship make prosperity more shining and lessens adversity by dividing and sharing it.
Cicero, On Friendship, 44 B.C.
Roman author, orator, & politician (106 BC - 43 BC)

Wondering on the subject on friends recently, i came to realise how greatly influenced we are by the idealistic image of the perfect group of close knit friends whom you share your darkest secrets with and the same bunch of people whom you feel most connected with and can find no replacement for.

It is, to me, a subjective matter and really depends on the individual based on the feeling of a need to be surrounded by a group of friends that you feel imperative to hold on to for life. Based on my own observation so far, aside from the regular family orientated television shows and movies, they almost always feature story lines that center around characters and their need for friendship. It is true that we do occasionally seek out the guidance and connection that you cannot quite get with family, with friends. I suppose if everything were to be shared only within the family, everyone would go crazy.

To me, friends are the people whom we share certain issues with. People whom we share our frustration / joy / sadness or about anything else that we sometimes get the idea that "my family just won't get it".

The usual saying about friends is that friends come and go. Throughout my life, i have experienced friends who have entered my life, inspired me and left me to search for new friendship. I have always had an idealistic idea of a close bunch of friends. I am sure we all secretly do. But i am learning to understand that in life, we are meant to know more people, reach out to different individuals, inspire them and move on with life. Like a give and take cycle of life. Sure, having a particular secured group of friends whom you can identify and share similar values with to hold on to is ideal. But is there really a need to?

I do have good friends. And i am thankful for them and the guidance that they have provided me and i feel extremely blessed. Especially to those that have truly inspired me, motivated me and most importantly, believed in me. Friends like that are hard to come by and that itself, is a blessing. Though i hardly stay in contact with many, especially those in my school years, that's ok. For i know that they have coloured my life in so many different ways that now my world is so much for colourful than i ever thought it would be. Various shades of colours is what i have and i have had friends from almost all walks of life. That is something i am grateful for and to all my friends reading this, thank you! :)

And to answer my own question, No. I don't believe that it is a need to have a particular group of friends to constantly be together with. But it is, wonderful to have various bunch of friends to be connected with! :)

What to do you think?

Phew...

...I am relieved!

The weekend just went by without me even realising it. It feels strange. I still don't feel as if i had just had my weekends at all! But i guess the most important fact is that i am, for now, free of any assignments apart from my weekly submissions! :D

Just to let you in on some events that has happened for the past few days, we had a pot luck party at Wei Ning's place on Friday and it was a very...eventful night. xD The highlight of the night was a chance to notice and witness how well some can sing to Abba's Dancing Queen and also to have a chance to experience Kit Yee's driving! :D

On the pot luck party day, i had a ready picture in my mind's eye of how the party would be roughly like. I had the vision of Wei Ning's house and the tables spread on the garden and we would be sitting around enjoying food. Once we (Chu Ian, Ben and I) arrived at the party, we noticed (or i did) that the neighbourhood had a small field/playground at the very center of the area. It was brightly lit and i noticed something strange when we took a turn around the basketball/badminton court area.

I saw a group of people crowding around in a small circle as if they were praying.

Just as i was about to tell Chu Ian and Ben about my "finding", i saw Kit Yee.

HUH?! Kit Yee joining some sort of cult praying?!

WAIITTT...she's...eating????

RIIIIIIGGHHHHHTTTT....THAT IS WHERE THE PARTY IS!! HAahHAHAHA!! (yes i know...lameness)

So yes, we had the party at the playground area and i fed the greedy mosquitoes whilst everyone else played (or should i say vandalize the swings and SEE-SAW) that sent slippers flying around. :D

We did eventually go to Wei Ning's place to have a karaoke session...no..wait. Half of them had the karaoke session and another group terrorized the piano (xP) and a smaller group played chess. (No points to guess who was playing :D)

The karaoke session was interesting with people like Lup Yan singing to some songs and others belting out some romantic tunes. Mostly Chinese songs until we had Abba! :D Almost everyone sang to Dancing Queen, Money, Money, Money, and all of the Abba songs while Ivan did the milking the cow move famous in the 70's!! xD

We eventually went back home by 11:30-ish p.m. and i went home with Kit Yee and Chu Ian's excellent caramel cheesecake. I will not, in this post tease Kit Yee about her driving but i will comment and say THANKS KIT YEE for sending me home safely and taking the trouble to send me! :D

Yeay! It's nearly lunch time! :D Adios till the next round! ;)

What's new...

I owe you all, my faithful readers, an apology for the delayed update. Sorry!

It is not to say that i was completely tied down by assignments...well, at least not YET. In fact, i somehow had other things to do such as finding out what on earth is wrong with the laptop and then finally sending it to my dad for reformatting - only to discover that i did not save my music files and all my favourite songs like Katy Perry's I kissed a girl was gone, Rihanna's Disturbia was gone and the long list goes on.

It's disheartening and completely disappointing to find out that all my favourite songs are gone! Just when i told myself firmly that that day i would burn the songs into a CD! :'( It's depressing.

Anyway, on the updates about Uni, JOIN THE CHESS CLUB!! Hahahaha! A short advertisement for the club that Jun Yet and Kit Yee set up. :D They were pretty good models too! First day of the C&S week and they were already there to play chess early in the morning! Very good marketing strategy! :D

On another note, classes are alright so far. As it is the second week, i got to see who my tutorial mates were and it is good to know that so far, i have friends in every class. :D The tutorials are now more challenging too! You have to fight for a chance to speak up so that you are considered to have "participated" for the class and therefore, have your attendance taken. In my opinion, i think that it has its pros and cons. Those that are really outspoken or should i say, LOUD, would shout their answers and thus, leaaving people like me who are fighting a chance to say something smart to get noticed, unnoticed! Sheesh. [mental note: practice vocals and shout more]

By the way, anyone watched Ellen Degeneras's show today? McSteamy was there as one of the guest and my my, is he one heck a hottie!! *drools*

Okay folks! It's late at night and i need my much deprived beauty sleep!
Good night and hope you enjoyed my update! :D

Different

As i have promised i would do, i shall provide you - dear readers, an insight into my new semester.

Let's see, my first class started in the afternoon and that is the first for me. I had planned my timetable in the past to start in the morning knowing well that the "after lunch" period would be dreadful and torturing. But whether or not it is due to the excitement in the first week or the slightest possibility that i may just pull through and survive the afternoon "after lunch" period, i was awake. And was eager to pay attention and listen to the lecturer. oO!

Imagine that!!

This is right after i had my lunch too!! Unbelievable!
:D

But i shan't get my hopes high as this is after all, as pointed out by Tze Yuen, the first week of the semester. I have not had my brain go on full speed processing information and completing assignments. BUT! Let's just hope that this feeling remains 'cause i like the excitement feel! :D

Anyway, for the first time this year, i woke up late today! Gosh. Had it not been for Chu Ian's phone call, i would have went on blissfully unaware of the fact that my class starts at 9! He called at 8:30 and got me bolted from the bed as if struck by lighting and flew to the bathroom and got ready in 15 minutes. This includes bathing, brushing my teeth, changing, packing my bag, putting on my socks and shoes, messaging Tze Yuen to save a seat for me next to her and starting the car to leave for uni. Thankfully the traffic wasn't bad so i managed to reach uni at around 8:57 or so, parked my car and saw Shu Yi. Said hi and transfer my old notes into my car and brisk walk all the way to class in less than 8 minutes.

Only to find that the lecturer isn't even there. -.-"

Anyhow, the lecturer turns out to be someone none of us was expecting so that was quite a surprise. Then throughout the class, i noted some nasty cockroach odour and told Tze Yuen about it. It was distracting 'cause the smell was really strong. Halfway through class after that, the row behind me made loud gasps and it turns out that there was indeed a cockroach.

My row of people freaked mainly because our butts were exposed to the cockroach and if there was a large enough gap at the pants, it could very well slip in and make itself cosy in the arse. So, it was very disturbing especially not knowing where on earth the cockroach disappeared to. Half the time we kept turning around checking to see if the cockroach reappeared and decides to nest in our pants. :D

So luckily, the lecturer allowed a five minute break and we immediately changed our seats to the front row for the remaining class.

There was good news delivered in class today too. NO TUTORIALS FOR THE WEEK! AHAHA!

So, time for lunch now! TATA!

new Semester...

...has just begun.

I like to believe that i am ready to face all the grueling and torturous assignments. At least it is the positive way of looking forward to the new semester. :D

Mistakes that were made in the previous semester shall never be repeated and i would be ready this time.

Anyway, being the first day of the semester, new faces can be noted in the crowd and there are some early birds too! I usually get my parking space much closer to the uni and now, i have to take extra minutes to walk to the campus. :(

But it's good exercise!! :D

Anyhow, my tummy needs food...

Will update more about how the first day of the new semester went soon!

XOXO
AJ

Genting Trip

Brrr....*shivers*

That was what we got when we arrived in Genting. Or at least, i did. :D

For those who are wishing for some pictures, sorry but i did not have a chance to bring along the bulky equipment given that my dear sibling needed it for a much higher priority than i. Whilst i had my hand phone, i was worried of draining the battery - which can be rather uncooperative at times, so i did not dare take any pictures. :D I apologize for being paranoid and for not providing you the joy of looking through pictures of me with my panda eyes. I suppose i can be evil.

And boring.

ANYWAY, i shall provide the details and you all can drop by at Kit Yee's blog and Wei Ning's for the pictures. :D

Let's start: 3rd July (1st Day)
I miraculously managed to get out of bed at around 6:30 in the morning in good spirits to fight for the bathroom. Since i was told to meet with the rest by 7:30, i packed in all the last minute necessities like toothbrush and was ready to leave the house by 6:50. :D

Despite the horrendous traffic jam, we (my mom and i) managed to maneuver around the cars and got into a shortcut and ta-dahh! Reached my destination on the dot. :D

We were initially told that our bus would be the earliest at 8 a.m.. However, we couldn't get the tickets and settled for the 8:30 a.m. bus which was just as well since there were some ahem..late comers. HAHA. :P

Let's just say that the bus drivers are probably one of those ex-Pizza Hut delivery boys/girls racing to their destination in record time. I prayed all the way.

To cut it short, it was SOOO misty. So much so that it felt like we were in some sort of sci-fi movie or perhaps, horror scenes - where some random Jack the Ripper would appear from the mist and you realise suddenly that he appeared in such short notice and in such close proximity that you have no chance to run and in the end, get killed/ you thought you saw your dead friend/enemy and then before you can take a second look, they disappear into the mist. Once you run towards the direction they were in, you find yourself either lost or in a different dimension.

And almost all the rides were temporarily closed.

AND we already bought the tickets for ALL parks.

Let me tell you that only the kiddish rides were open. So pretty much MOST of the adults crowded around the kiddy rides and enjoyed the freezy gush of wind and drizzle on the face.

I nearly turned to ice.

IT was COLD! It was like experiencing winter season in Hong Kong! I did not quite enjoy the cold initially since i did not have any extra cardigan to warm me. But upon arriving at KL, i immediately missed it so much! It was fun to see everyone's face bright and their hair wet from the cold - imagine a commercial showing a "fresh" look and you'll get pretty much what i mean. lol.

The indoor themepark was pathetic. Aside from the bumper ride, which, i must say was fun, :D the indoor roller coaster was not working! Sheesh...In the end, all we did was walk in and out from the outdoor park hoping that the mist would be lifted and we could at least sit on some rides and hanging out around the indoor window shopping and eating. LOL.

Speaking of which, the food there is ...atrociously expensive!!! WHo in their right mind would pay for a whole chicken for RM80!?? IT'S INSANE! We had lunch at this Hou Mei restaurant and i ordered their speciality noodle thinking: "Oh well...speciality mar..should be pretty good." Guess what it turned out to be?

MAggi mee. -.-"

And it cost me 11.20. *faints*

Dinner was not too bad. I even met with a fellow Monash student! :D Everyone gathered at one of the rooms after dinner and we played "Mafia" from around 10p.m. to close to 1a.m.! IT was GOOD FUN!! I really really liked that game!!! :D The rest went on to play other games until about 4 in the morning. :D

4th July (2nd Day)

We had brunch in the end at KFC. Whilst TL and Nico had theirs for free and the girls (aside from Kit Yee and me) had porridge elsewhere. Then we left for the skyway and arrived back in KL (safely) in exactly 45 minutes. Again, the bus driver must be an ex-delivery boy or he had a bad case of diarrhoea and was in need of the loo because he drove like a mad man.

Anyhow, the rest with Wei Ning in the lead decided to stay back at 1 U for a karaoke session? I do not know how they have the energy and enthusiasm to sing but i simply could not. I was feeling nauseous and was in much need to rest my head on a soft pillow. Which was close to what i did once i arrived home. Straight to the couch and Ahhh....

This is what i call Home Sweet Home.

p/s: it was a good trip and despite not being able to sit on the rides, it was a very interesting experience! And not to mention, lots of interesting new gossips! :D I hope everyone else enjoyed their time as much as i did! See you all soon! :D

My new fav song...

...is a song by Katy Perry - I kissed a girl.

oO!!

Okay...right before i found out the name of the song...i swear i did not know that the name of the song was this. AND I am NOT suggesting i did K!! The song is really upbeat and so cool! Very catchy and fun! But Gee....i did not know.

EE! Hahaha. But it's cute! Go listen to the song! It's nice! And now i know why Hitz censored the "a girl" part in the chorus. So it was more of : "i kissed ..*pause*...and i liked it.."

I thought that was the lyrics!!!! WOw...I know NOW!

But i still like it. :D

Go check it out!

Tag 2

Ok...i just realised how long ago the tag from Kit Yee was - since March! Eek!
Here it goes:

Instructions:
Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. Notify them in their chat box that he/she has been tagged.

1. At what age do you wish to marry?
Hmm...honestly, i always thought 25 was the age to get married. But i am not so sure now...:D

2. What do you like to do to past your time?
I realise i tend to sleep. A LOT.

3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
I would really love to go UK. :)

4. If you can have 1 dream to come true, what would it be?
I'd be greedy and go for: the 1 dream that would entitle me to more dreams come true!!!

5. Do you believe you can survive without money?
No.

6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
Right now, everything.

7. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Invest and make more!!!

8. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
Hmm...i did that once. And it sort of backfired and i never tried it again. But then, who knows? :)

9. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.
Kit Yee is :
(i) smart. That would be an understatement really.
(ii) tolerating. I do not know how she can study with people talking to her nonstop who seem somewhat oblivious to the fact that she is trying to concentrate. I would have barked the person away!
(iii) friendly. She is nice to EVERYBODY. Despite her saying she is evil and may probably deny this fact, Kit Yee, YOU ARE FRIENDLY. Hence, NOT EVIL. :D

10. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
Ahh...my list is very long. Good thing is that he has almost all of them. :D No one is perfect you know. :D

11. Which type of person do you hate the most?
I have only loathe one person so far in my life. But i shall not elaborate.
Generally, i do not like it when people are inconsiderate, rude and dishonest.

12. If you are given the chance to go back to the past and make a difference, will you?
I suppose i would to become to be more courageous, hardworking and actually miraculously lead the blue team to victory.

13. What is the thing that will make you think he/she is bad?
I sense it more than anything else.
They also call that gut feelings? Instinct? Anyway, the "bad" people would somehow send out this bad vibe and you would just happen to know that they are bad news. I am correct most of the time.

14. What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
My family.

15. Are you a shopaholic or not?
I really think so. YIKS!

16. If you have a chance, which part of your character would you like to change?
I need to be more diligent and better with time management. That' s the truth!

17. Who is the person that you can share all your problems with?
Can it be person(s)? 'Cus my answer would be MOMMY & Chu Ian. LOL.

18. What's your weakest point?
My heart melts when i see puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, and any cute looking animals. :)

19. What's the thing that you're most proud of?
Meself! WAKAKA

20. Are you evil?
Erm...nope. xD

Hope you enjoyed getting to me know me better. Which is hardly much. :)

BREATHE!

*takes a deep breath and exhale*

I had not realised that i had been holding my breath until after i called my mom. After talking to her, i felt a huge tonne of weight had just been lifted off my shoulders.

I don't remember feeling quite as lightheaded after an exam. I practically felt i was on air. Is that how it feels when one is drunk and high on drugs?

Anyhow, it's a day after exams. And i remember promising to update my blog whenever i am free to. Funnily enough, the free-er i am, the less inspiration i have to write about anything. The ideas, the urge to write, to plan and do anything comes to my mind when i am supposed to be stressing over exams. Or at least, when i should be getting ready for it. Not stressing.

It's annoying that my mind whirls away with endless plans to add into my list of "Things to do when bored" when there i am trying to concentrate and tell myself not to get distracted. Oh, don't laugh. Yes. I admit i have a list of things to do when i am at wits end trying to figure out what to do with the amount of time i have in my hands. I am that easily distracted. *sob*

However, like i have mentioned to some, this semester has been like a tornado that came and swept me off my feet; dragging me along with whatever that is in the way into the powerful spiral energy. It has been a mess. Or, was. Given that we have ended the semester (finally!), i am experiencing the aftermath and in the midst of cleaning the mess that had been created.

I know i should not be blaming or relying on the external environment and external changes that i do not have the power to control and alter to suit my needs but it really doesn't help that my brother was not around throughout the exam period. Perhaps it's due to the fact that he has never failed to lift my spirits when i am down and unsure of myself. He has this knack of knocking sense into my numb head and cheer me up anytime. Anyone who knows him would say that he has some sort of magnetic pull that attracts everybody to him. And i really mean EVERYbody. That guy's got charisma! And when he speaks, everyone stops and listens. It's amazing how he does it. And he is the best when everyone is busy talking and there i am trying to butt in to put a few smart sentences in and he would notice it immediately and listens to me. That, ladies and gentlemen, is my dearest bro. :D

But wonderful news is, HE'S BACK!! Or going to be! :D We'll be expecting him today and i can't wait!! For at least a week or two, we'll be hearing alot, and i mean ALOT of stories from him!! Wait, since he has been away for 2 weeks, it'll probablly take him a whole month to continously entertain us! xD

On another note, whilst i am in the mood to thank people, i would like to mention that Chu Ian deserves my biggest thanks. :) I have no idea how he managed to listen to me being silly and pouring out my frustrations to him throughout the entire exam period! Even I got irritated with myself and would've gone insane with myself. But he has just been truly amazing, patient and incredible. :) I could not have asked for more. :) *hugs*

Also, to my newfound friends who have been so dear to me -Tze Yuen and Yee Mei, you guys have helped me so much. By being there for me and being so kind and helpful was more than i could have asked for in a friend. Thank you both for being such great friends! ;)

Of course, to Tak Leong and occasionally Nico, for being so entertaining. LOL! You both make my day with the things you guys say and do. As for Mr Nice Tak Leong, thank you for being such a sport to allow us to poke fun at you occasionally. You are wayyyy too nice you know? :D But it's good to know that there are nice innocent people out there. xD You're a great friend. :)

And to save the best for last, thank you Mommy! :D You make me wonder whether i can ever be like you - a best friend and a mother to your children and such a loving wife and sister. I am forever grateful for having you as my mother and best friend. :)

Alrighto! i think this is a pretty long post, so i'll save the rest for another time!

Till then, enjoy your well-earned holidays dear readers! :D

XOXO, AJ

Gossip Girl...

If you haven't got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me. - Alice Roosevelt Longworth
...is my new favourite drama series. :D

It would have been interesting had i started a blog on the drama we had last year in college. LOL. That was great fun.

We are constantly fed with gossips and rumours almost every day and it really makes you wonder whether it is ever possible to go through one day without any form of scandalous juicy stories about a person's life that means little to you.

Then again, it is the scandal and sex that sells isn't it?

Tell me what you think about gossiping and rumours. And the effects that it has on your life.

Till then, you know where to find me.

XOXO,
A.J.

Happy Mothers' Day...

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. -Tenneva Jordan

...to all the mothers out there! :D

Mothers' Day is a day set aside of all 365 days in a year for us - children (regardless of age), to take time to celebrate and show our appreciation of the many love and care our mothers have showered us till this day.

It is also a period where we take time to realise the sacrifices and time spent by our mothers especially during the times when we are down and ill, and/or during the times when we feel that there is possibly no one else in the world that could relate and understand our problems but our mom, etc; they never fail to ensure that we are properly taken care of.

Everyone has their own version of why their mom is the best in the world. For me, my mom = my best friend.

As cliche as that sounds, it is true. In my own definition of the term "best friend", they are the someone(s) who are consistently there for me whenever my foot get stuck in the mud of problems, the someone whom i could turn to to spill my guts out, someone who would be willing to sacrifice their ears being burnt from all my animated talking, someone who would also see me as someone they can trust and tell their feelings to and think of me as their best friend too. My best friend would be the one whom i could gossip about anything to, and the one who would not turn against me and stab my back. One who is straightforward with their opinions about anything and tell me i look fat and unpresentable in the dress i am wearing and the person who would motivate and believe in me no matter what i strive to do.

All that is what my mother is to me. Whenever i got hurt by something a friend did to me, the one person i turn to is my mom. (And also to my dearest Chu Ian too lar. Hehe! xD But this post is dedicated to my mom! xD) She reads my mind, i read hers; we think alike and we share similar taste in fashion. The fact that we are both Aquarius brings us even closer than ever! Not to mention that my mom's friends and my relatives all say i'm a photocopied version of my mom when she was younger. :D

That fact, is true. I remember looking through my mom's old pictures when i came across a younger version of my mom when she was on stage performing a dance. It showed her from a sideview. I could not believe my eyes when i came across that picture. At first glance, i thought i saw myself. Upon closer inspection, i still thought i saw myself. I showed my brother and he too went into shock mode and it was then that i understood why my mom's relatives all say:" Omg...your daughter loook SOOOOO much like you! Photocopied le! *study me intensely* Wahhh....!" :D

My brother and i always laugh at that sort of comment for it always made him and my younger sis feel as if they were one of those kids that ask their mothers the most dreaded question: "are we were adopted?". (Though strangely as it seemed, i was the one that often asked my mom that question when i was younger. LOL) I always tell him that i feel the odd one out given that he and my sis look the most alike instead! What with them sharing similar horoscope and temperaments. Sigh...it's challenging. xD

All in all, I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother who was smart and wise enough to choose my father out of the many suitors she had and gave birth to us three good looking bunch (HAHA! I know i know...PERASAN!) and taught us well to become who we are today. :D I am always proud to show you off to my friends as the COOL MOM. LOL. You're my one of a kind mother who can never be replaced! Thank you for all you have sacrificed for us and the love you shower us unconditionally. I love you, mummy!

Happy Mothers' Day, Mom!
(as well as to all of your mothers, dear readers! :D)

Please get well soon...

"I think the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades...or a game of fake heart attack" - Demetri Martin
I can't wait for everyone in the family to have a clean bill of health because i miss GOOD FOOD!

This was taken during my dinner just now:

Me: Kak! Kita masih ada cili padi tak? (*hopeful*)
Kak: (*attempted sorry look*) Tak ada. Ma'am sudah tak mau beli takut saya akan masak dengan cili. So, dia cakap bila saya nak masak dengan cili baru dia beli.
Me: WHA-??!! oO!

I couldn't believe my ears when my maid told me that my mom decided to cut off the supply of cili padi! HOW CAN THAT POSSIBLY HAPPEN??! (*sob!*) I LOVE chilli. I canNOT live without it. Almost every food that do not have chilli lack what i would call the oohmph...to it. It becomes bland...almost tasteless.

Like what happened for dinner tonight.

I suppose i should not be conplaining so much as i might appear insensitive to others. In fact, i should stop complaining. Period. Have been doing that quite often lately. [*slap self* Ungrateful silly girl! >:( ]

Alrighto, i have have HAVE to concentrate and complete my assignment!!! Procrastination- BEGONE!

Minor Update

Firstly, i would like to apologise to Kit Yee and Amily for not completing their tags as soon as i was tagged. However, i would try to complete it by June, k? :D

I attended the Monash Street Carnival on Saturday yesterday. And as it turned out, it was not the street carnival i was expecting. One thing, it was definitely a sunny sunny day. So much so that i got home with a burnt neck and burnt arms. NOT GOOD. The entire carnival was quite plain and empty. Lack of food, well decorated booths and most importantly - PEOPLE. However, despite that, the music played was pretty good. They had a dance performance in the morning by MPAC which was pretty interesting! Then they had a band who was pretty good. But subsequently, the other bands that played afterwards, was ...well, they just chose the wrong songs to perform.

I was there from the time they started (12pm) to the time i ended my shift around 4p.m and yet, even then, the crowd did not even seem to have increased. I was not completely surprised for the publicity of the event was not major. At the entrance, they didn't even have a banner to show where the event was! I actually got a lil worried thinking i got the date wrong! LOL!

I have no idea how the event was after i left so, i can only hope for their sake, that it went alright. Anyhow, i have assignments due in a matter of time, so i better get it started! :D

Till the next time i update, here is an important shoutout:

Happy Birthday, GAYA!!!! :D

Have a great birthday with many happy returns!! *hugs!!*
