"I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me." Fred Allen.

At this very moment, i am suppose to be doing quite a number of things. But i simply refuse to acknowledge the fact that my homework is piling up and assignments are already due in 2 weeks time. There is always a reason why they came up with "ignorance in bliss"; no matter how blissful it truly is. :)

I just went through a few of my ex-schoolmates pictures and came to realise how different they look now than they were back in secondary school. Not all have changed. However, there are some who have taken a complete 180 degree turn.

A couple of months back, the 5 of us (Wei-yuen, Dadah, Yuts, Alena and myself) manage to get a day out when Alena came back. So far, none of us have gone through any dramatic changes (thankfully) though Alena has a very noticeable Indian accent now. LOL! Here's the thing, when you have 5 girls going out, there's bound to be gossips. ESPECIALLY with Al around. Hahaha! She gives the juiciest gossips!

The subject of us going through the transaction from secondary school to college and now University and whether or not we have changed much, was brought up. Like i have mentioned, none of us (except for Al's accent xD) have changed. In fact, it was the quieter students in class/school that have changed the most! During the entire outing, i was completely taken aback at the mention of names of classmates/schoolmates who was once the "quiet" students in class and were now the party girls!

Some went through dramatic changes from being the innocent to the wild, the shy to the bold and the quiet to the noisy. I have no idea what changed them. But, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that whatever that they choose to be right now is wrong or right. I'm not judging. It's just the shock of discovering how much a person can change within such a short period of time!

Could it be that now that they're in college, they feel a sense of freedom to express themselves better than during the blue pinafore days? Or could it be that they are going through the phrase of a one time change? Can it be that they are merely doing some soul searching or simply wish to be "different than i was before"? Perhaps the college/ University life is like breath of fresh air and for some, it may be that they decided that they no longer wish to be hiding inside the shell and instead yearn to open up to all things different and new.

All in all, i strongly believe that whatever that you choose to do, never ever loose sight of your beliefs and values. For these will keep you from doing anything that may be harmful to yourself or others around you.

Take care to all! :)
