Can't believe it? Neither can i.
But i did.
It all started when i came home after a horrid day of physics. I learnt that my sis was at Pyramid with a bunch of friends while i have to suffer stress at home. But anyway, it was agreed that when she decides to come back, she'd give my dad a buzz. As in turns out, when she called, my dad had to go all the way to KL which means i had to pick my sis up instead.
Fine.
The main problem was that my sis didn't have her phone switched on to normal mode. It was on silent. Or rather it was later corrected that she didn't get to hear the ring tone above the loud music and what's worst, she didn't put her phone on vibrate. So there you have it.
I tried calling her on and on again. Still no response. Damn. It was just after 4:45p.m and i suppose, it's the time when the goverment servants or whom whoever had just finished work. So, the roads - particularly near Sunway, was terribly congested with cars and bikes. Since i was on hands-free trying to call my sis, i was trying to do what most women are proud of - multi-tasking. Which, for the record - I SUCK! So, for some reason or another, i was fiddling with the hands-free kit trying to get to the button where it can sort of cut the line, and KA-BOM! I felt the car jerk and when i looked up, to my horror, i was kissing the guy's ass! ( The guy's car LARR. DUUHH!!) I guess i must have lost part of my concentration and didn't press the brake harder and the car continued gliding till it kissed the others' ass. SSSSSHHHHHIIITTTT!!!!! And My Dad just fixed in the new headlights the day before somemore!! FFFFFIIIIICCCCHHH!!!!!
The back seat passenger turned around and stared at me. I can BET with you he must be thinking: " Geez...what a horrible amateur driver! *sigh* Drive such a nice car somemore! *double sigh* Lady drivers/ youngsters these days arr...*triple sigh*" FICH!
The guy signaled to the side and i, dutifully and guiltily towed on behind and kept apologising to the guy at the backseat everytime he turned around to stare at me. I felt BAD, K! I'm sure i looked pretty stupid sitting in the car waving apologetic waves like how most people do on instinct when they apologise, while he and the guy at the back seat came out to inspect the car. My heart stopped beating for like the whole 10 minute (or much less) ordeal. LUCKILY!! He waved back and gave me a it's-ok-you-can-stop-waving smile at me!!! GOSH! I SWEAR i felt as if i was just given a pardon on a death row!! I almost died on the spot!! INstant!!
THANK GOODNESS!!! The car and i came out of it clean with NO bruises, NO scratches, NO blood, NO oil, No greese, NO bump, NOTHING! *exhale* I screamed in the car after that. Yup. I did. Like a mad woman.
I screamed and screamed and after one final attempt to call my sis, she picked up and kept apologising while i kept shouting at her. I know i shouldn't have. But i had just had a near death experience and i couldn't help it. I'm SOrry! But I was So mad. I scolded her and almost ignored her friends when they came in the car. But i calmed down and tried REALLY hard to make it up to my sis and friends. I suppose they were ok. When i apologised and told them the reason of my black face and dark clouds above my head, they just went silent. The car was freaking quiet! I mean come on!! I wasn't blaming them at all!! NOT one bit!! They even messaged my sis after i dropped them off and said thank you and sorry. Sorry? For what lar...not blaming anyone also. Ish..But they were sweet. :)
So there. Another lesson learnt this week: DO NOT ATTEMPT MULTI TASKING ON THE ROAD!!! NEVER EVER USE THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING!! ESPECIALLY DURING A TRAFFIC JAM!!
p/s: Chem paper today was actually bearable. Weeee!
